Take me to Elim

Where there are 12 springs

and 70 Palm trees

where no one has to read my palm’s trees to see

that I shall not thirst

because around me, I can see

12 springs

Take me to Elim

Dear Pillar, dear Cloud

lead me to Elim

and hover, linger, even plant yourself there

so that I may know that

there I’m to stay

leave me at Elim

So we end this pilgrim

because Sin is what’s ahead

And I fear that you know

that I shall fall

for the quail.
