  1. Do make it a point to leave your interpretation of this poem here, lets know what your heart thinks of this poem.

  2. Well, there’s such a thing as “picture poetry”; which, so far, I know involves just one picture with a poem to accompany it–each one (the picture and the poem) complementing the other.

Basically related if you decide to call this one “photo poem”.
The only difference I see is the fact that you used multiple photos to enforce the few words you’d wanted to express.

As a matter of fact, the first line of words took my mind to the Bible, because that is quite a popular phrase in there. However, your introduction of ellipsis followed by a series of pictures made me think about the first line, ‘Be still and know…’. It begs the question, what does it mean to be STILL and to KNOW. This line is having more impact on me right now because I’m doing a whole year joint Bible study with a friend of which the final lines of this work is related to.

Now, there are five pictures, and apart from the third one which I can’t fully make sense of, but I’ll say something about it before I end, the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th brings my mind to the elements of fire, storm (wind), sea (water), and parched land (earth). Therefore, if I should jump down to the next and final sets of lines which concludes the work I can infer that to we can know God is several ways, and this we can begin to do by looking at Nature, with all the elements listed above. With our senses we can begin to KNOW God, but just as the 3rd picture doesn’t really make sense to me right now it can be said that knowing God can be likened to that; we may know several things about God but as long as we are humans there’ll always be that one thing that may not readily make sense to us about what we know (or want to know) of God. And here this, this means to me that there is a way of KNOWING God beyond our senses which may not make sense to us now, because that is God and there’s more to know about God. . .

Finally, this work is relevant to me because, as I said early on, I’m doing a year-long Bible study with a friend on the topic, “Knowing God”.

Yeah. . . this is what this work makes me think about 🙂

    1. Thanks a lot O’Zion.
I really appreciate your taking the time to share your thoughts on this. Very insightful. It’s interesting to also know that you’re on a similar journey to know God as I am.
